Now, if monitoring reports show variances, for instance, if the coding phase is consuming more time than planned, you need to identify the cause. The reason could be unexpected bugs or perhaps, inadequate resources. Depending on the cause, prompt control measures can be undertaken, like bringing in more experienced coders or ramping up the team size.

The Importance of Constant Evaluation

In this way, constant evaluation of a program’s status and the application of structured monitoring and control processes help a PgMP steer the program towards its goals efficiently and effectively. The continuous nature of monitoring ensures early detection of variances from the plan, while effective control ensures that corrective actions are taken promptly to keep the program on course.
